“There is no story of Jesus from like 12 to His 30s. Why is that?”

The simplest answer is that it is not relevant to our faith in Him being the Son of God.

And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

John 20:30–31

There is a lot that Jesus did in His life that we don’t see revealed in the Bible. He performed more miracles and taught more than what is revealed in Scripture.

John specifically included just the parts of Jesus’ life that was relevant to those seeking the truth to have the evidence they needed to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I think we can safely assume the same is true for the other writers since they were equally inspired of the same mind.

I’m sure Jesus’ life from 12 to His 30s would have been interesting to us, but it is not relevant to our belief in Him being the Son of God or our salvation in Christ.

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Luke 19:10

We have what we need of Jesus’ teaching and life to know the truth and be saved. God revealed what we needed to be saved.

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

2 Peter 1:3

We can rest assured that God has given all that we need for “life and godliness.”
